even though Koran and Quran sound similar, but the “Quran” sound more closer to its real pronunciation in Arabic. and yes a surah is like a chapter in the Quran.

surah literally means something enclosed or surrounded by a fence or wall. Surah are the chapters enclosed in the Qur’an

Quran and Koran are different attempts to transliterate the original Arabic word (written in a different language and a different alphabet). A surah in the Qur’an most closely corresponds to a verse in the Bible.
