I do not agree that they should be killed we should follow by the example of prophet pbuh and prophet Muhammad pbuh always forgave these who insulted him.
Allah swt is the only judge and he shell judge all and on the day of judgment these people will not be laughing.

it is very strange ….no body wants to mock his /her father……. or to tolerate anyone mocking that ……he will go to court …..then how come mocking of any holy prophet is tolerated …as holy prophet is the great father of his nation

Assalamualaikum
I disagree for numerous reasons, also it shows intolerance on Muslims, rather we should follow the example of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and that is when people insulted him, he won them over with kindness, remember the story of the Jewish lady who used to throw her garbage everyday on the Prophet (pbuh) as he walked past her house and then one day she didn’t throw any garbage on him and he enquired why and found out she was sick that day and so he went to visit her and this act astounded her that she actually became Muslim as a result, see what a noble example our Prophet (Pbuh) set.
