You don’t have to be modest around your wives or your slave girls “that your right hand possess.” (Quran 23:6 )

These are the actual truthful verses:
Chapter 23. The Believers
1. The believers must (eventually) win through,-
2. Those who humble themselves in their prayers;
3. Who avoid vain talk;
4. Who are active in deeds of charity;
5. Who abstain from sex,
6. Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame,
7. But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;-
8. Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants;
9. And who (strictly) guard their prayers;-
10. These will be the heirs,
11. Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever).

You probably didn’t understand the meaning of modesty when you read it. This is the actual verse and the verse before it:
023.005 And those who abstain from sex,
023.006 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame,
Al-Qur’an, 023.005-006 (Al-Mumenoon [The Believers])

You will get many answers about how “that’s out of context” and how “Islam is great”, but I doubt you’ll receive any real explanation about what’s the proper interpretation of that verse; or any that isn’t a stretch anyways. Most likely many muslims just ignore the verse.
EDIT:
So the real meaning is that you can have sex with your slave girls and that’s okay? A real gem.

These 3 quotes I found for you might represent the Muslim woman’s point of view of Polygamy. I hope it helps.
My question is why a woman doesn’t like what is being allowed to man from Allah?
If someone has only one wife and he visits her 6 nights in a week, then surely she is going to suffer lot of health problems, and if he has two wives then she will save her self from the exertion of intercourse for three nights.
And if they both are understanding, then both can share the work load of a house, like cooking and taking care of kids. and she can save herself from lot of troubles.
But in the wake of western woman, Islamic woman is following blindly what she wants to shed from herself.
and
Women get jealous. That is a fact. Even the Prophet (peace be upon him)’s wives got jealous of each other. But ALLAH’s decreed polygamy because it’s benefits outweigh its harms.
Personally, if my husband came and told me he wanted to get married, i’d be upset. But it depends on the woman he wants to marry.
and
If a Muslim woman marries, she should have the sincere desire that her husband enters jennah. If he does enter jennah insha’Allah, he would certainly have multiple wives in jennah. So any wife should accept that she is not the only one and know that her husband has others waiting for him, either in this life or the next.
