Is The god of Islam the same god as Judaism and Christianity?
Please allow me to clarify this question which I had ponder for a long time. Is the God of Islam the same God as Judaism and Christianity? Or is these three religions praying to the same God, but having differences in their religions teaching? Thanks.

I believe so. There are so many similarities between Islam, Judaism, and Christianity it seems highly likely if one existed. That dude is screwing with us big time.

Judaism, is the base for CHristianity and Islam came shortly after CHristianity. the difference is that the Jewish don’t think the savior has come. Christianity believes that Christ was the Savior and the Muslims believe that Jesus was just another prophet.

They both worship the Abrahamic God, so yes. They ARE the same entitity. They just have very different views on what the entitity is like and expects.

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Abraham → Issac and his descendants → Judaism → Christianity.

Ishmael and his descendants

Islam
- All three claims that there is only One God.
- The fundamental theological difference arises from the acceptance/ denial of the Messiah, Jesus Christ.
- Each one of these three religions have something in common with a second other, which totally contradicts the third other.
Example:
- Jesus is Messiah in both Christianity and Islam, but not in Judaism.
- Wine is allowed in Judaism and Christianity, but not in Islam.
- God is one in Judaism and Islam, but its a triune God in Christianity
You’d be surprised to know just how important/loved/respected Jesus and the Virgin Mary are in Islam (Chapter 19 is dedicated to Virgin Mary in Quran).

10 brief points Christians
should know about Muslims and Jesus
By Sound Vision Staff Writer
1. Muslims love Jesus. We also love Abraham, Moses, and Noah, to name just a few other Prophets Muslims revere. May God’s peace be upon all of these great messengers of God.
2. Muslims also love the mother of Jesus, the Virgin Mary. We believe she was a pious and noble woman chosen over all of the women of the world.
3. Muslims believe that Jesus was born miraculously of a virgin mother and no father. His birth is miraculous like the birth of Adam, the first human being, who was created with neither mother nor father.
4. Muslims do not believe that Jesus was the son of God. God is so powerful and self-sufficient that He does not need a son or any kind of partner.
5. In Arabic Bible the name for God is Allah. Therefore all Arab Christian call God Allah as Muslim do as well.
6. Jesus did not die on the cross. Rather, God saved him as his enemies were confused about him. Jesus was taken up by God to Heaven.
7. Jesus is called Isa (pronounced Eesa) in Arabic.
8. Jesus performed miracles by the Will of God, like healing the blind and those with leprosy.
9. Jesus prayed to the same God as all Prophets and we pray to.
10.Jesus will return before the end of the world.

The second coming of Jesus is one of our core beliefs as well as one of the signs that judgment day is near.
Islam, Christianity and Judaism have a lot of common ground…
Here’s the english translation of Virgin Mary’s chapter in the Quran

History tells us that it was Abraham (Abram) who was first contacted by God to believe in ONE God; not the dozens and even hundreds of gods worshiped at that time. God spoke to Abraham and Judaism was born. One God.
However, from this one man came two very different sons. Isaac, who was anointed by the Holy Spirit (like his father) to continue down the road in Judaism. And Ishmael, who was kicked out of the family and came to believe in the pagan gods of the Arabian Peninsula. In this lineage came Mohammad who was also raised up as a pagan worshiper of “Allah” (meaning “God”). But the god of Mohammad’s family was the moon and their physical representation of this god was a black stone. This black stone is still inside the Kaaba (in Mecca). This is why there is a crescent moon on top of every mosque in the world. This is NOT the same God that Abraham started out with!
And then along comes Jesus (the Christ [Messiah]) to bring about a fundamental change in theological doctrine to the Jews. (which is WHY He was Jewish) The existence of the Jew (as a monotheistic religion) was to prove that “works” (the Law) cannot save us from our sin(s) against God’s wrath. It is only by grace and grace alone which we are saved. This is the fundamental change from Judaism to Christianity. The OT is filled with references to a multi-personality of this “one” God (“Let us make man in OUR image…” Gen 1:26) and other such things.
Did Moses ‘see’ God in the burning bush? No. No one can see God. For God is only Spirit. Then how does one have a relationship with “spirit” without ever knowing for certain that this God is real? This is why Jesus came. As living proof that God is a reality. We can know God when we know Jesus. And Jesus (man) could do nothing without the power of the Holy Spirit upon Him. I can’t raise the dead – can you? And Jesus could not either. He said – “By Myself, I am nothing.” Yet Jesus did raise the dead. He did these things by the power of the Holy Spirit which we can have in us/with us today. Peter raised the dead. Paul raised the dead. This IS the Holy Spirit.
The Jews refuse to believe the very Scripture which God has given to them. Christians accept the Truth which Jesus brought. The old has been washed anew in the new and everlasting covenant.
The OT is all about judgment and wrath. The NT is all about love and grace.
The same God, but showing a different set of ontological attributes.

im an atheist, and im not shi.tting you when i say that the jews, the christians and the muslims all worship the same god but in different ways, infact, the word “allah” is basically just the direct arabic translation of the word “god”. All three are even cartagorised as Abrahamic religions.
It just makes me laugh when i hear someone from one of those three religions try and disprove the existence of the others god. XD

yes ,it is just a matter of translation
The word “Allah” is the perfect description of the “One God” of monotheism for Jews, Christians and Muslims!
Is “Allah” only for Islam and Muslims?
[No! It is for All Three Abrahamic Faiths.]
“Allah” is the same word used by Christian Arabs and Jewish Arabs in their Bible, centuries before Islam came.
On page one [1] of Genesis in the Old Testament, we find the word “Allah” seventeen [17] times.
Every hotel and motel has a Bible. Next time you see one look in the introduction, you will find samples of the different languages they have translated. For Arabic they have translated the verse in the New Testament in Arabic from the famous verse in the Gospel John 3:16 -
“For God so loved the world…”
- and the word the translators used in Arabic for “God” is the very same word used by Muslims around the planet, “Allah.”
Where Does the word “Allah” Come From?
“Allah” comes from the Arabic word “elah”a god’ or something worshiped. – (Arabic) means ‘
This word (elah) can be made plural (gods), as in “aleha” and it can be male or female just as the word in English can be “goddess.”
“Allah” comes from “elaha” but it brings more clarification and understanding.
Allah = Has no gender (not male and not female)
“He” is used only out of respect and dignity – not for gender
Allah = Always singular – Never plural
“We” is used only as the “Royal WE” just as in English for royalty
Allah = Means “The Only One to be Worshipped”

Supposedly it would be, but the Jews don’t accept Jesus as their Messiah unless they are completed Jews. The Muslims have gone off on their own road with Mohamed. The only way to God is through Jesus Christ.

salam….yes absolutely….so is the God of hindus sikhs etcetc…..God sent many prophets over time, to different nations with basicaly the same msg… there is ONE God, there will be a day of judgement and the concept of heaven hell and satan, and general guidelines according to that time and age(all for our own good)…over time scripts were lost, edited…new things introduced…statues of prophets etc made and worshipped…and so on only the final book to humans we muslims believe is in its exact form that it was revealed in 1500 yrs ago in the text/language and there is proof of it….
I would like to recommend to you websites like islam-guide.com and IRF for more information on Quran….may God guide you and me….salam.

One of the most common assertions that we hear when a comparison between Islam and the Judaeo-Christian tradition is made is that both conventions essentially worship the same God. Allah, it is said, is merely another name for Jehovah, the God of the Bible. Such statements are often made by those who are attempting to bring these disparate religions together in the spirit of ecumenism. Obvious they are not the same God. Only people who are deparate to be accepted, or have not the read the Bible and Koran will say they are the same.

islam and christianity from the same source
islam, christianity and jaudism r from the same source
ALLAH
ALLAH SW sent the prophet MOSES ( PBUH )
then his followers ( who r known as jews ) has changed the religion and killed alot of messengers who came after MOSES ( PBUH )
one of those messengers was JESUS ( PBUH )
and also jews tried to kill him
but they could not
because ALLAH raised him and put somebody else instead of him and jews killed him
what id funny is
christians sayings about that jesus is god or son of god was after his death ( in the christianity point of view ) with about 300 years , not when he was alive between them
anyway
after that ALLAH sent the last messenger who is prophet MUHAMMAD ( PBUH ) with the same message that any other prophet came before him was orderd to tell people with
which is
there is a god for this universe and there is a hearafter and u must worship this god alone otherwise u will go to hell for ever,,,,, and on the other hand ofcours if u believe u will go to the paradise for ever
and when ALLAH sent his messengers with the revelation he knew that people will not believe so he sent with the messengers some miracles that makes it obviouse and clear that those messengers r not liers
for sure this is the case in islam
here u r a site about miracles of islam
