{image} My fiance is a convert and we are planning to get married in Singapore, but was told that he needs to have an Islam convert certificate. I know that there isnt anything like a convert cert under the Islamic Law but we really need one to get married here. He converted months ago in America. Where does he need to go to get the cert? And what are the procedures that he needs to go through to get one?

Get married in the US. Less hassle. Government need for proof of religious affiliation is the sign of a government that should be overthrown.

I would think your answer is either A or D, with a caveat for both…

It is easy for me to say that the Muslim world is in decline. However, whether something is in decline or ascendancy is defined by the observer’s point of view. A fundamentalist believer, who believes in the application of what he sees as Islamic beliefs to political and personal life, might not agree with this statement and believe that Islam, and the Islamic world in general, is in ascendancy since the faith is strong. And, if the fundamentalist does agree that the Muslim world is in decline, he would blame it on corruptions from the outside, not, as I do, decay from the inside resulting from a 8th century way of viewing life.

You also have a point of view issue with globalization. If you define globalization as two cultures compromising and fusing with each other to compete in an international market, then political Islam would hold that globalization is a bad thing. But, if you define globalization as the worldwide triumph of Islam and conversion to Islam, then globalization is the empowering of the Muslim world. We in the West tend to think of globalization as a series of compromises and fusing between rival thoughts and philosophies. A fundamentalist Muslim, though, would think of globalization as the conversion of the world to Islamic thought.

i dont think that we should even look on d words ‘ban islam’.i mean we rnt saying something about other religons so the ones thinking of doing such idiortic things well dey r wrong.

wats wrong with people they can defend their rilgion by discusing not by abusing islam or insulting muslims islam is a peace riligion we believe in discusing the problems allah will defend u let allah help us to get ridoff this people all muslim be united
